Swamy demands reintroduction of ballot paper

New Delhi। Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy on Monday having proved in Delhi high court that EVM machines can be tampered, reiterated his demanded that Ballot paper should be reintroduced for fair electoral reform.
Swamy was speaking on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda organised by National Medicos Organisation with a joint venture with Bharatiya Bhartiya Vikas parishad in Kutch, Gujarat on 8 January.

Swamy said his finding proved that election results can easily be manipulated with the use of Electronic Voting Machine [EVM].
Taking on Congress party Swamy said that Congress have an internal notion that they can only win with voting machine.
“Congress can only win with EVM, “ swamy said.
Citing that most of the countries viz. England, Japan, Germany, Netherland are using the concept of ballot paper instead of using EVM for election.
“If EVM is used, there should be system of getting receipt of your vote like ATM machine receipt on transaction.”
Dr Swamy contacted EVM machine manufacturing Japanese company and asked whether they use this EVM machine in japan or not. They said they are not mad and they don't use that in Japan, in japan they use Ballot paper. Similarly in all advanced countries like UK, USA, Japan, Germany etc ballot paper is used. Dr Swamy also explains about the solution which he proposed.
