Sonia Gandhi's family involved in chopper scam: Subramaniam Swamy

Patna, Feb. 17 (ANI): Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy on Sunday alleged that the UPA Government doesn't want the truth behind the alleged corruption in Agusta Westland deal to come out because Congress president Sonia Gandhi's family is involved in the deal.

"The scam is not surprising for me. Another chopper was selected in the beginning of the deal, but citing some technicalities, they changed the company. It was only for the commission, and the Nehru-Gandhifamily has acquired the most part of the commission. About half of the total money has gone to Sonia's two sisters in Italy," said Swamy.

"You see, wherever the Nehru-Gandhi family is involved, corruption occurred. No incident of bribery or corruption took place during the tenure of late Prime Ministers Lal Bahadur Shastri and Morarji Desai," he added.

Reacting to the Italian court's refusal for sharing information and documents, Swamy said: "Naturally the court will not share the information like this. The CBI should have to first gone to a court here and obtained a letter seeking information or documents. The Italian court will be bound to share information after that letter. But, the government is not serious, they are investigating in the matter just for the sake of investigation."

According to media reports, the Italian court, which is hearing the case of alleged corruption in deal, has informed the Indian embassy in Rome on Saturday that the investigation is at an initial stage and the documents can only be shared with the parties in the case, arguing that the information is covered by secrecy.

The Defence Ministry has directed the CBI to probe the matter and two officials from the CBI will also be visiting Italy.

The copter scam has unfolded with the arrest of the head of a state-controlled Italian aerospace company.

Finmeccanica CEO Giuseppe Orsi, who was arrested on Tuesday in Rome, had been under investigation for months and had denied any wrongdoing in the deal for the sale of 12 AgustaWestland helicopters to India in 2010.

AgustaWestland, the Italian firm. is presently at the centre of a controversy over allegations of paying kickbacks in the Rs 3600 crore VVIP chopper deal. (ANI)

Bhojshala has become victim of Governments of Madhya Pradesh due to appeasement of Muslims for votes. Today Archeological Survey of India (ASI) allows everyone to go inside Bhojshala 'as a tourist' with fees. On tuesday, Hindus can enter in Bhojshala and they are allowed to take flowers and akshata. But since the new idol of Vagdevi is seized by Madhya Pradesh government and kept in Gwalior jail, Hindus can't offer anything to Saraswati Mata. On friday, Muslims are allowed to offer Namaz in Bhojshala complex. Vasant (Basant) Panchami, also known as Mata Saraswati Jayanti is the only day in the year on which Hindus are allowed to perform full-fledge puja by taking idol or photo of Mata Saraswati inside Bhojshala. So Muslims can offer Namaz in Bhojshala 52 times in a year, but Hindus can perform puja only once in a year. It should be noted that Dhar, where Bhojshala is located, has 16 mosques to offer Namaz.

In year 2006, Vasant (Basant) Panchami was on friday, so the demand of the Hindus to perform puja in Bhojshala for the full day was refused and the police also used force against Hindu devotees and arrested many. on 15th February 2013, 'Bhoj-shala' should be made available to Hindus instead of Muslims for 'namaz', as it is the day of Vasant Panchami falling on Friday.
The Government should release the idol of Shri Vagdevi made of 'Ashta-dhatu (8 metals) from the Gwalior jail.
From the evidences, it is amply clear that Bhojshala is nothing but a Hindu temple and hence it should be handed over to Hindus completely.
The Government should restrict Muslims permanently to enter and offer Namaz in Bhojshala.
Today it is observed that few fanatics and miscreants are damaging ancient idols of Deities and other signs of temple. This damage should stop immediately and Government should ensure that these idols and signs should not get harmed.
Bring back the original idol of Shri Vagdevi from London Museum.

Swamy welcomes fresh expose in 2G scam case

New Delhi : Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy on Tuesday welcomed the latest disclosure in the 2G spectrum case that reveals that the CBI suspects its own prosecutor of aiding the accused, and said that it has given a huge boost to the prosecution case itself instead of the opposite.

"I think what has happened is that it has given a huge boost to the prosecution case itself instead of the opposite because this was happening, there was internal sabotage we knew that. And in Chidambaram case, I could see it blatantly that there was sabotage from the CBI," said Swamy.

"And now, we have information that it is the CBI, which conducted the sting operation. So, there is hope that the honest elements in the CBI will now dominate and we will proceed and get to the root of the matter. And I think this corruption case goes all the way to the top and one by one we will now proceed further," he added.

A Parliament panel will today examine the CBI's allegation that its lawyer in the 2G case was colluding with a representative of one of the companies accused of criminal conspiracy and cheating to land an out-of-turn mobile network license in 2008 from then Telecom Minister A. Raja.

The CBI has confirmed that it has removed its prosecutor, AK Singh, based on audiotapes that purportedly reveal him advising Unitech Managing Director Sanjay Chandra on his legal strategy.

Chandra along with Raja and 12 others have been charged with conspiracy, forgery and cheating in the 2G case.

Raja is accused of tinkering with procedure and policy to help Unitech and other companies to get the 2G licences. They are also charged with benefiting Unitech to make windfall gains by selling stakes at a premium to Telenor.

The trial is currently in the court of O.P. Saini in Delhi's Patiala House. The case is being tried by a special CBI court in Delhi and the Supreme Court is monitoring the CBI's investigations.

Former Telecom Minister Raja was forced to resign from the Union Cabinet after a report of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) faulted him for undervaluing spectrum to favour companies who were largely ineligible for 2G spectrum, and added that the government had probably lost Rs.1.76 lakh crore in estimated revenue.

HJS activists meet Dr. Subramanyam Swamy

New Delhi : Mr. Sanjeev kumar, Miss Anandita Kumar, Mrs. Kshipra activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Mr. Patanjali Rambrich, a pro-Hindu activist from USA paid a goodwill visit to Dr. Subramayam Swamy, the President of Janata Party at his residence. Dr. Swamy praised activities of HJS and encouragingly said, “You are doing good work. I am with you.”

HJS activists told him about Islamic encroachment in the premises of Shri Saraswati Devi Mandir (Bhojshala) at Dhar in Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Swamy said that he had been to Bhojshala at Dhar and studied that temple. A temple can never be converted into any other structure. There is God’s presence in temple as idol of Deity is installed there. Whereas in mosque or a church, no such installation is done, these are just structures which can be changed. In foreign countries, followers of other Sects buy churches which are not visited by people and those are used as other buildings. He said that he would be going to Dhar in March. He was ready to bring back the idol of Sri Saraswati Devi which is now in London museum; but the Indian Government was creating obstacles.

Hindus’ should get a right to perform ‘puja’ in ‘Bhojshala’ on the day of Vasant-Panchami; for this, protest against BJP Govt. in every district !
For the last few days, Hindus have been trying to gain right, in lawful manner, for performing ‘puja’ on ‘Vasant-Panchami’ in ‘Bhojshala’ instead of Muslims reading ‘namaz’; but BJP Government in Madhya Pradesh has paid no heed. As a result, Saints and pro-Hindu activists have now taken an aggressive stand of staging agitations. BJP Government has imposed curfew in Dhar District to crush this agitation. This stance of BJP Government should be condemned in every district of this country. Non-Hindus immediately unite when their religious sentiments are hurt and raise their voice. Now, even Hindus need to come together and register their protest immediately against injustice meted out to them. Activists of HJS should, therefore, stage agitation in every district, along with pro-Hindu organizations that hold similar views like HJS, to register protest. As far as possible, such protests/agitations should be staged in front of BJP’s offices and the office-bearers of BJP should be taken to task on this issue. As per the news reports published in Hindi Media, BJP Government of Madhya Pradesh has arrested Shri. Navalkishore Sharma of Bhojshala Mukti Yagna Samiti. Even the Police are claiming that he was arrested from Indore, sources are saying that he was arrested from Itarasi. Police was on the trail of Shri. Sharma from last few days. It was informed that Police was searching for him after his Press Conference regarding the issue of Bhojshala held in New Delhi few days back.

Now tension has been escalated after arrest of Hindu leader Shri. Navalkishore Sharma. Dhar District police confirmed the news of arrest of Shri. Sharma. It should also be noted that Police and administration have also kept many Hindu leaders under house arrest.

Bhojshala : Political parties should not speak on Bhojshala issue, says BJP

First BJP Government in Madhya Pradesh should clear its stand on the issue of Bhojshala. In 2003, BJP delegation was saying 'From evidences, it is clear that Bhojshala is a Hindu Temple and it should handed over to Hindus.' Now this same BJP is not allowing Hindus to enter in Bhojshala to perform puja of Mata Saraswati even on the day of Vasant Panchami.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) : Madhya Pradesh BJP president Narendra Singh Tomar on Monday said political parties should refrain from speaking on the issue of Bhojshala as the state government and local administration were working towards a "successful solution" on it.

"Bhojshala is a very sensitive issue and related to law and order situation. This is an issue between the public and the state government," Tomar told reporters here.

"Political parties should refrain from speaking on it, in the interest of the society. Our organisation will not comment on it. I am sure the state government and district administration are trying their best to resolve the impasse, and I am hopeful that they would succeed in maintaining peace (at Bhojshala) on February 15," he said.

Last week, Maharaja Bhoj Utsav Samiti president Ashok Jain had said that they would perform prayers at the complex the whole day on Basant Panchami, on February 15.

Jain said they have already given their programme schedule to the administration in this regard.

The Samiti had also protested the barricading at the complex.

Over 25,000 devotees would participate in the day-long prayers at the site, Jain had told a press conference after police put up a temporary security cover in the area.

Coincidentally, Basant Panchami and the Friday Jumma Namaz this year are falling on the same day--February 15.

Routinely, every Tuesday Hindus offer prayers at Bhojshala while Muslims offer Namaz every Friday.

During the Basant Panchami festival, Hindus are allowed to perform puja at the monument the whole day.

The above arrangement was made following regular disputes between the two communities over the issue of ownership of the monument.

Meanwhile, when asked about the National Investigation Agency's (NIA) action against suspected RSS activists in Malwa region recently, Tomar said any investigating agency, whether of the state or the Centre, if used for political mileage then it was deplorable and against the democratic values of the nation.

Bhojshala : Security tightened at Saraswati Temple complex for Basant Panchami

Bhojshala, Dhar (Madhya Pradesh) : Ahead of the Basant Panchami celebrations on February 15, Dhar district administration has made elaborate security arrangements to prevent any untoward incident at the Bhojshala complex, which is home to a Saraswati temple and Kamal Maula Mosque. (HIndus, please note that Bhojshala complex is only home to Saraswati Temple. Muslim invaders encroached Temple space and built Kamal Moulana Mosque ! To see proofs, click here ! )

The security arrangement has been made in view of the fact that Basant Panchami and the Friday Jumma Namaz are falling on the same date.

"We are on alert as Basant Panchami is falling on Friday. We are discussing with both sides and we received some suggestions in this regard. We hope that the solution will come soon," District Collector CB Singh said.

Adequate police force would be deployed for the Bhojshala function, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Praveen Mathur said.

Three hundred Special Armed Force (SAF) jawans have already reached here. Six more companies of SAF would come here by February 8. Besides, 25 more companies of Rapid Action Force, CRPF, SAF and tear-gas trained force would reach here by February 10 to be deployed at Bhojshala on that day, Mathur said.

Peace meetings were also being held in the city in view of the festival. Madhya Pradesh Women and Child Development Minister Ranjana Baghel held a meeting with administrative officials on Thursday in this regard.

Both the functions would be held peacefully on that day, Shahar Qazi, Waqar Sadik said.

Prayagaraj (UP) : “If Vishva Hindu Parishad sincerely respects religious sentiments of Hindus, it will present the issue of the temple of Shri Saraswati Devi in Dharma Sansad on its own. This issue was overlooked even in the meeting of Central Guidance Committee of Vishva Hindu Parishad held on a day prior to Dharma Sansad. The BJP Government in M.P. has turned the temple of Shri Saraswati Devi into a military camp.” Such a strong criticism was made by Mahamandaleshwar Swami Yatin Giriji Maharaj against Vishva Hindu Parishad while speaking in the press conference organised in His Ashram, in Kumbh city. He insisted that the topic of Shri Sarswati temple in Bhojshala be brought for discussion in the Dharma Sansad organised by Vishva Hindu Parishad. (Two days have passed since the start of Dharma Sansad, but Vishva Hindu Parishad has not initiated any discussions on the issue of Bhojshala nor expressed any reaction over it. National Guide of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti Pujya (Dr.) Charudatta Pingle said, ““The BJP Government in M.P. is granting permission to Muslims to offer Namaz in the temple of Shri Saraswati Devi in order to appease them. Congress government in the Centre is also making efforts to appease Muslims. This temple is under the jurisdiction of Archaeological Dept. of the Union government. Therefore, even the Congress government can take a decision as to who should be allowed to make use of the temple. However, the Congress government has purposefully maintained a studied silence over the issue. (Hindus, beware that BJP Government in M.P. claiming that the temple is under the jurisdiction of Archaeological Dept. of the Union government gives permission to Muslims to offer Namaz ! – Editor SP) On this issue, Shrikashisumeru Pithadhishwar Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Narendranand Saraswati has warned that Hindus should be given permission to perform worship in the temple of Shri Saraswati Devi, on the day of Vasant Panchami falling on 15^th February; otherwise the situation would take a serious turn. Swamy vows to challenge UPA ‘unconstitutional’ dream move

Terming the UPA Government’s dream project ‘Direct Cash Transfer Scheme’ as an unconstitutional move, Janata party chief Subramanian Swamy on Wednesday said he would challenge the scheme in court soon. Observing that direct cash transfer to beneficiaries in place of distribution of subsidised public goods is an impropriety of Demands for Grants approved by Parliament, Swamy urged the NDA-ruled States not to implement the Centre’s project.

“The scheme is unconstitutional since it proposes to transfer tax payers’ funds presently in Parliament-approved Welfare Schemes, through a cartel of District Magistrates and District Congress Committee presidents. According to the Constitution, and Demand for Grants approved by Parliament, fund is through allocation implemented through Ministries of the Union Government.

“I therefore condemn the PM for subverting the Constitution, and abdicating his responsibility to his oath of office by agreeing to this scheme which is nothing but legitimising corruption through an unconstitutional cartel of District Magistrates and District Congress presidents, thereby collapsing the concept of constitutional separation of powers,” said Swamy in a statement here.

Accusing the scheme as “fraud on the Constitution”, Swamy said he would approach courts challenging the new project. “I urge all NDA-ruled States hence to inform the Centre that they will not implement this fraud on the Constitution. I also warn the PM that if this scheme is pushed through and implemented from January 1, 2013 as announced then I will approach the courts making him also a respondent, along with Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi,” he said.

Commentary by ‘A Scholar’

1. Though the Saints of the earlier times were harassed by many, they were saved because they chanted God’s Name : Many Saints of the earlier times tried their best to reap the harvest of devotion and sow the seeds of purity into the atmosphere. Though they were harassed very much by heretics and atheists, they could carry on their mission because they chanted God’s Name. Finally, the heretics were punished. History will repeat itself in today’s times.

2. Heretics will certainly be punished for their great sin of harassing Saints : It is inevitable that the politicians, unrighteous leaders, goons, extremists and rationalists will be punished as per their Tama-predominant karmas. There is no greater sin than harassing Saints.

3. Every Saint has said, ‘Listen to the call of your soul, remember God and perform sadhana (Spiritual practice)’ : If we have to take every individual on the path of sattvikta (Purity), their body (which is destined for destruction) needs to be sacrificed. In other words, the materialistic tendency should be sacrificed and individuals should be taken to the path of renunciation. Every Saint has said - ‘Never embellish the body because it is destined for destruction; hence, listen to the call of the soul, remember God and perform sadhana’.

4. In Kaliyug, the jiva (Embodied soul) is missing true Anand (Bliss) : In today’s era of Kaliyug, since the jiva has accumulated many temptations in the mind and fallen prey to them in day-to-day life, it has missed true Anand. True Anand lies in observing the soul.

5. When ‘I’-ness is completely dissolved as a result of sadhana, the individual will not perform any evil karma : Being engrossed in Anand of the self means becoming one with God. In this state, ‘I’-ness is completely dissolved. When the Sattva component (One of the three components in the universe) is accumulated in this manner, individuals will not perform any evil karma. Such a circumstance will prevail in the Divine Kingdom. Since everyone will be Sattva-predominant and there will be more emphasis on communion with God, everyone will get the spiritual experience of closeness with God.

Conclusion

1. Only if we remain faithful to the Holy feet of Saints, we will be ferried across the ocean of the material world : If we have to eliminate the corrupt ways, lust, treachery, deep involvement with Maya (Great Illusion), there is no alternative tosadhana. If we remain faithful to the Holy feet of Saints, we will be ferried across the ocean of the material world; but if we are entrapped in the company of Tama-predominant heretics, it will be the end.

2. If we perform sadhana, we will never lose God’s grace : If we do not perform sadhana, even God will not save us from great adversity. We will have to face the horrific war in difficult times. Where there is Tama component, destruction is inevitable. However, if we perform sadhana, we will never lose God’s grace.

3. If we have firm faith that God will take care of us in difficult times, it will not be difficult for us to become one with Him.

4. To enter the Divine Kingdom, we must perform rigorous sadhana : If theTama component is to be eliminated completely, the seed of rigorous sadhana must be sown in the society and those who perform sadhana will lead a glorious life.

5. The ‘Hindu Nation’ (Divine Kingdom) is not far off if we believe in the dictates of Dharma and abide by it with utmost faith : If we have to eliminate theTama-predominant material world, we should abide by the religious acts of remembering God, bhav (Spiritual emotion) for God and devotion unto Him. If we do not leave the Holy feet of Saints and God, if we believe in the dictates of Dharma and abide by it with utmost faith, establishment of the ‘Hindu Nation’ will not be far off.

6. If sadhana is performed without expectations, the ‘Hindu Nation’ will be established effortlessly, and by performing sadhana with expectations, we will progress spiritually in this birth : If we have to pull down the Government, we will have to impart education about religion to the people, spread Dharma in the society, and after seeking the blessings of samashti God, we will have to seek a boon of establishing the ‘Hindu Nation’ from Him.

The ‘Hindu Nation’ will automatically come into existence if we performsadhana without expectations; by performing sadhana with expectations, we can be spiritually emancipated in this very birth. By performing samashti sadhana (Spiritual practice for the sake of the society), the Tama component (which is the root cause of all problems) will be eliminated.

Hence, H.H. Dr. Athavale has said that the only panacea for all problems of the society and the Nation is to get sadhana done from the society and make it sattvik.

Crime and reward: The Curious Investigation of Rajiv’s Assassination

Explosion that killed Rajiv

THE wage of crime is punishment. In the scheme of things of the Congress First Family, the wage of selective crime is reward. This has been brought out clearly in the latest book, Conspiracy to Kill Rajiv Gandhi: From the CBI Files, by K Ragothaman, chief investigation officer of the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. MK Narayanan, then chief of the Intelligence Bureau, had suppressed a vital piece of evidence in the form of a videotape. Vazhapadi Ramamurthy, then president of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee, had arranged with a videographer to record the entire election meeting Rajiv Gandhi was to address at Sriperumbudur on the fateful night of 21 May 1991.

Vital tape made to vanish

The tape contained vital clues leading up to ‘human bomb’ Dhanu blowing up Rajiv, how she gained access to the sterile zone three hours before her gruesome act, and the people with whom she mingled freely during the long wait till the Congress leader arrived. It washanded over to Narayanan on 22 May itself and he wrote a letter to the then Prime Minister Chandrashekhar the same day stating that the tape was being scanned to “IDENTIFY THE LADY” (in capital letters). The lady referred to was the assassin.

DR Karthikeyan, chief of the Special Investigation Team, restrained Ragothaman from pursuing the tape handed over to Narayanan. When Karthikeyan was asked in a TV debate why he did not allow Ragothaman to pursue the impugned tape, hepleaded amnesia but he could remember all other incidents connected with the assassination in minute details. Narayanan’s letter has become a part of the Justice Verma Commission Report. He cannot deny having written it.

Causing disappearance of evidence in a capital offence is punishable with imprisonment for life under Section 201 of the IPC. And if the offence is committed by a public servant, which Narayanan was, he could be prosecuted under Section 204 IPC as well. The sole charge against Suba Sundaram, one of the 26 accused in the assassination case and sentenced to death by the trial court, was attempt to suppress evidence.

A leading news photographer of Chennai, one of his assistants, Haribabu, was engaged by the assassination squad to photograph Rajiv’s Sriperumbudur meeting. On hearing of Haribabu’s death in the explosion, Sundaram wanted to retrieve the camera. Before he could reach the spot a policeman picked it up. The prosecution maintained that had Sundaram retrieved the camera, he would have concealed the exposed filmroll which turned out to be the vital clue in cracking the case. He was never in possession of the film, yet the SIT managed to get him convicted under Section 201. The Supreme Court freed him after 11 years in prison. He died soon after his release.

Sonia blocks investigation, rewards loyalists

Narayanan was in possession of the tell-tale video tape which he suppressed from the SIT. Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, reportedly convinced of Narayanan’s culpability, not only superannuated him in 1992 but also ordered the CBI to register a criminal case against him. Such was Sonia Gandhi’s clout with the government institutions even before she edged out Sitaram Kesari as Congress president and occupied his chair that the CBI could not proceed with Case No. 1 of 1995 registered against Narayanan. The case was given a quiet burial by Karthikeyan.[Sic: This Karthikeyan was a Sonia loyalist, promoted CBI director at her insistence. (See below.) NSR]

After Narasimha Rao demitted office, Narayanan was brought back as National Security Adviser and when he and P Chidambaram, then Home Minister, fell out, he was elevated as the Governor of West Bengal, a sinecure he still enjoys.

Suppression of evidence was not the only misdemeanour of Narayanan in the assassination of Rajiv. From the time Sivarasan, leader of the assassination squad, reached Tamil Nadu in 1990, Army intelligence had been keeping surveillance on his activities and the IB was kept informed. On 22 March 1991, Sivarasan was asking Pottu Amman, LTTE intelligence chief in Jaffna, over the telephone, whether to try in Chennai or in Delhi. The taped conversation was promptly conveyed to Narayanan.

Sivarasan was also in telephonic contact with Kittu, LTTE’s London representative. On 7 May, Sivarasan and team conducted a dry run at a public meeting addressed by VP Singh in Chennai and kept Pottu Amman informed of its success. Sixteen pages of Sivarasan’s taped conversation with Pottu Amman made available to Narayanan were produced in court during the trial of the 26 accused. There is no record of any pre-emptive action taken by the IB in spite of the forewarning. To reward such a person, to say the least, is intriguing.

Immediately after the assassination, the Chandrashekhar government requested the Tamil Nadu government to send a panel of three suitable names to select the chief of the SIT. K Mohandas, who had just retired as DGP (Intelligence) of the State police, was the first choice. Chandrashekhar showed the list to Sonia Gandhi. She rejected all the three names and asked for D R Karthikeyan, a Karnataka cadre IPS officer who, like his mentor M K Narayanan, had been a Gandhi family loyalist but with no record of any investigative achievement.

Because of his proximity to the family right from Indira Gandhi’s time, Karthikeyan was given a three-year stint in Moscow as First Secretary in the Indian Embassy and a four-year stint in Sydney as Indian Tea Board representative. After guiding the assassination investigation along the lines the Congress wanted, he was promoted to the coveted post of CBI Director and on retirement made the chief of the National Human Rights Commission. And as a crowning glory, he was awarded the Padma Sri.

[Sic: This was bettered when the late Brijesh Mishra was made Padma Vibhushan when Sonia Gandhi’s UPA Government came to power. It is believed this was for Mishra (then Vajpayee’s National Security Advisor) getting Rahul Gandhi released when he was detained by the FBI in the Logan International Airport in Boston. NSR]

Rajiv misled by insiders

At the time of the 1991 Lok Sabha election, Tamil Nadu was under President’s rule. Governor Bhishma Narain Singh cautioned Rajiv against campaigning in the State for security reasons. The Congress had an alliance with the AIADMK and its leader Jayalalitha accepted full responsibility of campaigning for both the Congress and her party candidates and told Rajiv there was no need for him to visit the State. Rajiv conceded to the request of Maragatham Chandrasekhar, whom he called aunty, and even agreed to spend the night in Sriperumbudur, which was vetoed by the Governor.

Sivarasan had given Rs 5 lakh to Lalith, son of Maragatham Chandrasekhar, Congress candidate for Sriperumbudur. Lalith is married to a Sri Lankan woman who was staying with her parents in the Theosophical Society campus in Chennai before her marriage. Using this Sri Lanka connection, Dhanu, the human bomb, wormed her way into the Maragatham household and became a guest.

The Statesman reported that Dhanu was a house guest of the Congress candidate. A criminal defamation case was filed against this newspaper and its correspondent in Chennai by Maragatham. The case was dropped when documentary evidence was produced to substantiate the report. It is not the contention of this writer that Maragatham did everything that facilitated the assassination with any foreknowledge. But what made Karthikeyan cover up her tracks?

Karthikeyan has taken great pains to identify the brand-name of the nine-volt battery used by Dhanu to detonate the belt-bomb that killed Rajiv as ‘Golden Power’ and got the teenager, Perarivalan, used by Sivarasan as an errand boy to buy it from a shop in Chennai, the death sentence which was confirmed by the Supreme Court along with that of three other bit players. The battery containing cadmium compounds bound in zinc sheet was reduced to smithereens in the explosion, leaving hardly any trace.But the SIT could not locate the hand bag found hanging on the shoulder of Dhanu seconds before the explosion.

Sivarasan’s diary produced in the court had an entry showing he had paid Rs 1.5 crore to some person and that Rs. 45 lakh more was to be given to that person. The bomb Dhanu used to kill Rajiv had RDX which was supplied only to the military and not easily available in the open market. Circumstantial evidence shows the Rs 1.5 crore Sivarasan paid was to the person who supplied the RDX.

Why didn’t Karthikeyan investigate this angle? In any assassination of this nature, who benefited from it would form the main line of investigation which Karthikeyan and his team totally ignored. The moribund Multi-Disciplinary Monitoring Agency set up to inquire into the conspiracy behind Rajiv’s assassination has been hibernating for more than a decade. Will Manmohan Singh activate the MDMA? The nation wants to know the truth behind the conspiracy.

Added note: Several knowledgeable individuals beginning with Dr. Subramanian Swamy (a close friend of Rajiv Gandhi’s) have been alleging that Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated to forestall a major change in the national scene including the first family. Whatever, it is extraordinary that so many members of the first family—Indira, Sanjay and Rahul—should have met with violent ends.

The pattern did not end with Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination. Several members of Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra— his father, brother and a sister have died under mysterious circumstances. Is all this a coincidence or the result of a conspiracy by inimical forces? The mystery has only been deepened by the strange conduct of some family members like Priyanka secretly meeting Nalini who is in prison for her part in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination. This is only the latest twist in the mystery that refuses to disappear.

Diwali : Introduction

Diwali word has been derived from Deepavali which in turn is formed by dipa + avali (row). Hence, Diwali (Deepavali) is a line or a row of lamps. During Diwali, lamps are lit everywhere. Diwali is celebrated on four consecutive days - the thirteenth day (Dhanatrayodashi), the fourteenth day (Narak chaturdashi) and the new moon day (amavasya) [Lakshmipujan] of the dark fortnight of Ashvin and the first day of the bright fortnight of Kartik (Balipratipada). Some exclude the thirteenth and consider only the remaining three days as Diwali. Since Vasubaras and Bhaubij respectively precede and follow Diwali, they are included in it. However in reality they are separate holy festivals.

This is what we are witnessing today in the country. The Tama-charged environment affects the human mind adversely and man becomes Tama-oriented. Hence we must impress the ill-effects of crackers upon the young minds and stop them from bursting crackers.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) : A Dharna agitation will be held on 24^th August 2012 between 2.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m. in Azad Maidan, Mumbai, to oppose the ban on Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s (HJS’) website by the Hindu-hater Congress Government. The website of HJS is a nationalist website. Through this medium, HJS is awakening the Hindus throughout the world and thus in a way assisting the Government. Ban has been imposed on the website of HJS viz. www.hindujagruti.org without giving prior notice. In a press conference held here, Mr. Ramesh Shinde, the national spokesperson of HJS strongly condemned such ‘Tughalaqi’ conspiracy of ‘punishing an innocent and letting lose the culprit’ of the Congress.

Demand to impose ban on Raza Academy is being made at all levels; but Congress kept mum on the subject and delayed taking action against the culprits to help them to run away; but by imposing ban on the website of Hindus, Congress has exhibited its hatred towards Hindus. It is not only an attack on Hindus but also encroachment on the freedom conferred by the Indian Constitution on expression of thoughts and to follow any religion. The dictatorial governance of Congress, in which only Hindus abide by oppressive laws and Muslims get all benefits, makes any patriotic citizen think whether he is living in Hindustan or in Pakistan. The Government does not impart education to Hindus on their Dharma; therefore, on HJS website, scientific information on different festivals, religious festivals, rites and rituals etc. is given. Similarly, various drives are undertaken by HJS for prevention of abuse of National Flag, prevention of distortion of map, prevention of denigration of Deities, our great national heroes and Saints, explaining glorious history of India etc. for benefit of society, nation and Dharma giving information on its website. More than 1, 80,000 people from about 170 countries all over the world visit this website. People from other countries are also getting drawn towards Hindu culture and Dharma and living happily leading self-restrained life.

On the website of HJS and its ‘Facebook’ page, true information about Assam and Mumbai riots was published based on news published in different newspapers. Proofs were presented on the website so as to assist Police and Government on how rioting Muslims were indulging in false propaganda and creating unrest in the country; even then, it is possible that the Congress Government could have imposed ban on the website for the politics of votes. It is clear that the website of HJS has been closed for criticizing corruption and double standards used by the Govt. under the name of secularism; but the corrupt Congress Govt. should remember that the ban imposed on HJS website is not a blot on its name; rather it is creditable for HJS for undertaking patriotic activities which force the corrupt Government to take cognizance. Registering protest against this ban, HJS is planning to stage agitations.

The Congress Government, without giving any ‘Show cause’ notice to Hindu Jnanajagruti Samiti (HJS), or giving it any chance to defend itself, has banned Samiti’s website ‘www.hindujagruti.org’, by terming it highly objectionable. Even when water or Electricity bills are not paid, the concerned department gives notice to the defaulter, before disconnecting the water or electricity connection. In contrast, we have the HJS’s website that has been a pillar of support to the lakhs of Hindus not only in Bharat but over 170 countries across the world. And the reason for the ban – Posting and spreading highly provocative news about the riots in Assam. The Government however, did not bother to even name the news reports that it termed as objectionable. Therefore, this ban is nothing but misuse of power by the Congressmen ! During the Emergency, there were instances when the Congress Government would cutoff the electricity supply the Newspapers. The Newspapers were even pressurized to write in favor of the Government. The dictatorship of Congress was once again experienced today. By banning the website that awakens the love for the Nation and Dharma of the people, the Congress has tried to suppress the freedom of expression, freedom of using the medium. Hence, no amount of condemnation of this ban will suffice !

This ban is only a means to take revenge on the Samiti !

Samiti merely published various news reports about Assam Riots that have appeared on the websites of Newspapers and news-websites. Had congress wanted to take action on the backdrop of the news reports pertaining to the Assam riots, it would have blocked only those pages that gave the related news; however, that did not happen. Using the stick of the law, the website was blocked. A simple glance at the homepage of HJS’ website, we find articles such as information on national heroes, ‘How should Hindus abide by Dharma’, ‘How to celebrate the Hindu festivals in a spiritually correct way’, Campaigns about denigration of Hindu Deities, educating information on the attacks on Hindu Dharma, etc. What objectionable did Congress find in all these articles ? Was there a remotest chance of aggravating the riot situations because of these articles ? When there was nothing of this sort, blocking the entire website is nothing but the revenge on the mission of Samiti.

HJS has been able to awaken the Hindus all over the world in a short span. Samiti’s website played a major role in this achievement. The Congressmen were envious of the tasks that were taken up by the Samiti. The congress Government has made an issue of the Assam riots and attacked the principal medium of HJS for the spread of its mission and thereby, attempted to weaken Hindus.

This is an attempt to let the culprit get away and punish the innocent !

The Congress Government is claiming that the action was taken to maintain Law and order. If that be so then why no action was taken against the Raza Academy that was responsible for the riots ? A few days before the riots antagonizing SMS’s were sent by the Muslims to their brethren, provocative hoardings were put up in Muslim dominant areas. What did the Government do to punish the culprits ? The news has come forth that the seeds of the riots had been sowed in Pakistan. Like always, the futile program of giving proofs of these things to Pakistan has commenced. In a nut shell, the culprits who caused the riots are free birds and those who tried to educate the people about the rioters are being suppressed. This is disgusting.

After Sushil Kumar Shinde took over as the Home Minister, all expected that he would be impartial to all; however, as soon as he took over the office of the Home Minster, he as displayed his love for the green brigade. There are lakhs of pages on the social websites that have denigrating write-ups about Hindu Dharma, Hindu Deities and Hindu scriptures. Devout Hindus have complained a lot of times about these to the siber crime department as well as to senior Police officials; however, the Department of Telecom (DOT) or the department of cyber crime which otherwise appear to be non-functional, have showed 100% efficiency while banning the devout Hindu websites ! This has revealed the true face of Sushilkumar Shinde hidden under the guise of a smiling and simple looking politician. Ex Home Minster Chidambaram’s anti-Hindu attitude was obvious at his every move. Mr. Shinde appears to be a refined version of Chidambaram. !

If the Congress Government feels that by banning the website that has been guiding Hindus, it can suppress the voice of devout Hindus, then it surely living in a fool’s paradise. The Congressmen can very well ban the websites of Hindus; however how are they going to extinguish the flame of Hindutva lit in the minds of thousands of Hindus ? Today it might just be a devout Hindu website that has been banned; however tomorrow it will be thousands of Hindus who will come forth and spread the thought of Hindutva across the world ! If they are suppressed, lakhs of Hindus will come forward ! what will Congressmen do then ? When the lion roars, even the courageous miss a heart beat. HJS holds demonstrations demanding ban on anti-national Raza Academy

Dombivali (Dist. Thane, Maharashtra) : In Assam, native Bodo Hindus were oppressed but fanatic Muslims expressed sympathy towards anti-national Bangla Deshi Muslim infiltrators and resorted to riots in Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh and Kashmir. This resulted in loss of billions of rupees as public and private properties were damaged by the violent rioters. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) held demonstrations at Indira Chowk, Dombivali (E) on Sunday evening to condemn the riots.

Mr. Ravindra Chavan, BJP-MLA, Mr. Ashok Jadhav, citi-chief of BJP, Mr. Tatyasaheb Mane, Shiv Sena’s convener for the region, Mr. Dinesh Achalkar, renowned speaker and writer Mr. Durgesh Parulkar of Hindu Mahasabha, National ‘Pravachakar’ Dr. Satchidanand Shevade, Mr. Ajay Sambhus of HJS etc. were some of the dignitaries who took part in the demonstrations. Various demands were made during the demonstrations like ‘imposition of ban on Raza Academy, reimbursement of losses to the concerned by Raza Academy and its co- organizers , MOCCA to be made applicable to fanatic Muslims who beat up Police and media reporters; caused damage to their properties and action against police officers who granted permission to rioters for taking out march’.

Mr. Ravindra Chavan, BJP-MLA elected from Dombivali said that the Government follows only one policy and that is to cover up minorities playing politics of votes. We have to now come together and give a fight. Activists of HJS participated in the demonstrations in large numbers. They were carrying display boards protesting against the issue. Slogans like ‘Ban Raza Academy for causing riots in Mumbai’, ‘Book fanatic Muslims under MOCCA for beating up Police and media-persons’, ‘Condemn rioters molesting lady police staff’ etc. were raised. Many people signed the representation demanding action against the fanatics.

An appeal was made by HJS that ‘In the present pathetic condition, Hindus should unite forgetting their region, caste, language etc. rather than relying on the Government. If local Muslims go to help Bangla Deshi Muslim infiltrators in Assam, time has now come to show that all Hindus would also come together for helping their brethren in Assam. Let us not panic, return to Assam while it is burning; but let us unite and give apt reply.’

The rulers who have imposed a ban on the websites of the Samiti today, will not hesitate to impose a ban on 'Sanatan Prabhat' as well as Sanatan Sanstha and HJS, tomorrow.

According to an order from the Union Government, 250 websites that spread provocative news about the riots in Assam have been banned. Since yesterday, whenever readers throughout Bharat tried to visit http://www.hindujagruti.org, they were getting the message ‘The site has been blocked as per the instructions from Department of Telecom (DOT)’. As a result they could not visit the website. If the readers have experienced this, please let us know the name of the city, State, date etc. Samiti is consulting legal experts on this issue.

After this decision, from the night of 19.8.2012 Samiti's page ‘http://www.facebook.com/Hindujagruti’ on social networking website Facebook has also been blocked. Presently this page is not accessible all over Bharat; however, it is accessible abroad.

On the website of HJS as well as the page on Facebook, articles that depicted the truth underlying the riots in Assam and Mumbai were placed. There was no provocative matter in these articles. Because of these articles, Hindus around the world were getting to know the truth about these issues. Hence, the possibility of the Union Government as part of its Muslim appeasement policy, banning this page that vents the atrocities faced by the Hindus, cannot be denied.

Court allows swamy's plea against PC in Meerut killings

New Delhi: A Delhi court on Monday allowed Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy to move an application against Home Minister P Chidambaram and make him a co-accused in an over two decade old case of mass killings in Uttar Pradesh.

Swamy, in a verbal submission, requested Additional Sessions Judge Rakesh Siddhartha that he be allowed to move the application against Chidambaram under Section 319 Code of Criminal Procedure (power to proceed against other persons appearing to be guilty of offence).

Accepting the Janata Party chief's request, the court will hear the case on August 17.

The application will be moved in first week of the next month, Swamy said.

Around 40 Muslims were killed in 1987 after a curfew was clamped to search for illegal arms in the Hashimpura area of Uttar Pradesh's Meerut city.

Chidambaram was then the minister of state for internal security in the Home Ministry at the Centre.

Sangma camp may move election petition against Mukherjee

New Delhi : Opposition nominee PA Sangma's camp, which has sought re-scrutiny of Pranab Mukherjee's nomination papers by the Election Commission, on Monday did not rule out moving an election petition in the Supreme Court if it failed to get a favourable order from the poll panel.

Sangma's 'personal Subramanian Swamy and his authorised representative Satya Pal Jain said here that as soon as they receive the EC's directions on their petition, they would decide on the next course of action.

"Let the EC's order come. We will go step by step as per the settled procedure of law...all options are open. As soon as the EC decision comes, we will take a decision," Jain told a press conference after submitting a written petition to the
poll panel.

Members of Sangma's central election committee had on Saturday last made an oral submission before the EC seeking re-scrutiny of UPA nominee Mukherjee's nomination papers.

They said election petitions have been made against seven former Presidents, including Zail Singh and KR Narayanan.

Swamy said the Returning Officer (Rajya Sabha Secretary General VK Agnihotri) while accepting the papers of Mukherjee has neither dealt nor decided many of the objections raised by Jain.

"The RO did not decide the issue regarding the genuineness of the resignation letter, its validity and its acceptance.. MGK Menon (President, ISI) cannot accept the resignation. Mukherjee was elected by the governing council and it can only accept the resignation," he said.

He claimed that if Mukherjee has "some self respect", he should himself tell the EC that we was ready for a probe into his signatures. "It is my personal opinion, that otherwise he should withdraw from the race," Swamy said.

New Delhi, July 16 (ANI): Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy on Monday expressed confidence that NDA's vice presidential candidate Jaswant Singh would win the election by a margin of 60 percent, as the Members of Parliament would equate better with him than UPA nominee Mohammad Hamid Ansari.

"Now, there is no party whip here, it's a secret ballot, if Jaswant Singh wins the government is not going to fall quite clearly. And Rajya Sabha is not a place, where no confidence motions can be brought, only in the Lok Sabha it can be brought. So, I think the MPs will all vote on the basis of who they can relate to," said Swamy.

"Since Jaswant Singh is a politician, MPs will find it easier to relate to him; whereas Ansari is a bureaucrat, therefore he has a bureaucratic approach and MPs are not happy with him," he added.

Swamy also justified the NDA's vice presidential choice, saying Jaswant Singh is a man of great experience.

"The Rajya Sabha is a place where the Vice President will sit and conduct the proceedings. He should be a man of great eminence, he should be a man who has personal knowledge of how parliament functions, the rules and regulations. Now, on all these dimensions, Jaswant Singh qualifies because he has been Cabinet Minister holding several portfolios, he has been Member of Parliament for six-seven times, he has been negotiating on behalf of the Government of India with several countries," said Swamy.

"His experience, his knowledge, his contacts, are widespread, and he was also troubleshooter for the NDA when Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister," he added.

Swamy also used the occasion to take potshots at UPA's vice presidential nominee, saying Hamid Ansari has been only an Ambassador and the manner in which he conducted the Rajya Sabha on the Lokpal Bill and the Women's Reservation Bill was terrible.

"Ansari is not of that capability. He has been only an Ambassador, he has never seen Parliament, he doesn't know what Parliament is. His behaviour in the Jan Lokpal Bill was so terrible and Women's Reservation Bill was so terrible that I think every MP feels that he is unfit for the job," he said.

Earlier in the day, the NDA unanimously selected senior BJP leader Jaswant Singh as its candidate for the vice presidential election against UPA nominee Hamid Ansari.

The last date for nomination for the vice president election, scheduled for August 7, is July 20.

Ansari's term as Vice President ends on August 10. (ANI)
