Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s international president Ashok Singhal on Tuesday demanded Z-Plus category security and a safe residence for Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy against whom the Delhi Police has registered a case for writing an article, which allegedly incited communal passions.
Singhal has written a letter to the Prime Minister in this connection.Talking to reporters here at a press conference, Singhal said he wrote the letter to the PM Monday evening. “Swamy has been making public several documents related to various cases, which makes him target of various disgruntled elements,” said Singhal. However, Singhal did not specify as to which of the documents that he had made public made him a target.
Singhal said Swamy’s residence in Nizamuddin was attacked and there was a need for him to move to a safe place. “There are several extremists who can be a threat to Swamy,” said Singhal.
